Mobile finger print recognition in UK

Police divisions in UK would soon be able to check the finger prints of the people in the real time by scanning their index fingers in which case the image is sent to the National Automated Fingerprint System for real time search and that returns the match [or result] in around 5 minutes.

This would be launched as a pilot project and if successful, it will be launched across the country. This would help speed up the process of criminals and would act as a deterrent against criminals on wheels.
