IT Department looking with doubt at telecom industry

Tax department of government of India would be looking into the reason for the inconsistencies between the telecom industry growth rates and the service tax growth rates. Incidentally, telecom industry is also the highest service tax payer in the country. The tax department would seek to investigate if they are involved in any tax-evading activities.

Wonder what would happen if they stop giving the tax altogether?
