When you want blinds and not blinders

I have been to people's homes and I have wondered why are some people good at decorating their homes better than the others when most of the stuff most people buy are from the same places or at least in the same theme. The point is the eye for colour. If you do not have an eye for the colour combination, you are bound to make some very apparent mistakes in decorating your home which would score you those extra points for the "wow!" factor.

Same story goes for blinds. If you can't match the blinds with the overall settings of your home then you won't be talked about. But if you know what blinds are such as what are venetian blinds and know how to apply them then you can bring that specialty to your home decoration.
