In flight phone and text services

Emirates are the first company which are going to offer text and voice based phone services on their international flights. They have announced that they would start the services early next year. The first route on which these services which would be billed as international roaming calls would be offered would be Dubai-London.

There would be a cap of 5 calls per seat which is same as the existent limit of the fixed line seat telephone calls. Although the airlines company has already gotten into a deal with the technology company but the implementation of the phone services depend on the approval by the regulatory and security agencies.
