Plaxo for mobiles
If you are a Plaxo user and a very active one at that then you have another reason to rejoice. Plaxo, a leading address book networking company has gone mobile.
Plaxo has released a product called Plaxo Mobile Plus that the users can download on the select BREW phones models. At this moment, the service can be accessed via limited mobile carriers in US but Plaxo is working towards more network oand phone compatibilty.
Plaxo Mobile Plus will help its users in synchronisation and backing up of their mobile phone address books. It also enables them to share it with devices such as PC, Mac or notebooks on internet. They can share the address book with selective group of contacts and receive updates on change in the information of other Plaxo users. the users can see photos of Plaxo contacts; call, SMS or send them an email or they can track their location on the digital maps given that they have the supported devices.
A very useful sounding application.

Below is a simple write-up on the app:
smartLookup for Plaxo brings your contacts where you need them most - your mobile phone.
You choose which Plaxo folders to keep in sync, download your contacts and keep them updated by periodically downloading changes.
You can make calls directly from the application. No need to jot down numbers.
smartLookup uses the same set of fields as Plaxo address cards.
When you update your contacts you get all phone numbers and all emails.
smartLookup has been tested on the following phones:
- Samsung A707 SYNC
- Samsung A717
- Samsung A727
- Moto RAZR V3
However, other J2ME enabled phones should also work.
Windows Mobile smart phones and PDAs are also supported, but require installation of JVM (e. g. IBM MIDP 2.0 Emulator).
We are planning to support Nokia and other phones next, but we need help testing the software.

a) Java support (J2ME)

c) Internal phone memory storage of at least 15..20Kb
