Tata eyeing a Sri Lankan telecom player

Tata, a major Indian business group with diversified business interests ranging from steel to telecom through it internation telecommunication arm, VSNL Global, is trying to buy out the major private telecom operator in Sri Lanka, Suntel. If the deal goes through than it would be Tata's third international telecom deal.
