Mobile banking being launched by Cingular

Cingular, one of the biggest wireless network carriers have mentioned that they would be launching a service through which the end users would be able to do banking operations through their mobile.

They said that they are in talks with a number of banks and would want many of them to participate. Through this service, with a help of an application that need to be downloaded on the mobile, the subscribers would be able to check the balance in their account, pay bills and transfer funds to other accounts too.
