Brighter and better LCD screens
A display technology company named Clairvoyante has developed a new technology that can be implemented in the present TFT-LCD display technology based screens.
With the help of the technology, the pixels are rendered in a different way which results in better screen resolution and more brightness. Also, the screen could be viewed at wider angles with the help of this technology. And all this happens with less power consumption which makes it all the more attractive.
The technology named PenTile RGBW enables the sub-pixels to appear on the screen which makes the image richer with the help of a chip. In addition to the traditional RGB colored pixels, a new White colored pixel is also added which leads to much brighter and more clear images on the LCD screen. This happens because the White helps more amount of light to pass through.
Many companies have been reportedly licensed this technology for use in their devices.
