Easy mobile phones for the elderly

A Linz, Austria, based mobile company called Emporia Telecom has researched and developed a mobile phone which they are pitching as a mobile device for the elderly people. The mobile phone does not have any high end features such as Internet access or mobile camera but they claim that it would help those elderly users who are generally intimidated by complex devices and hence do not attempt much to use them.

The main features of this phone would be

very easy phone menu [including easy facility to call family/friends in emergency],
big screen,
big key pad and
ability to run of regular AAA batteries.

A good step, hopefully this would be adopted by the old guys.
