Being the technologist myself, sometimes I am really scared of seeing all the world wired. I as a customer may feel and enjoy the benefits of the technology but as a technician I wonder who will be tapping my phone lines, my internet lines to get my credit card details and rip me off. New news cooking in the PPP camp!!!

Is PayPerPost going for an IPO?

I do not have an official word but this is the kind of thing that has been doing rounds and I have heard that the posties would be the one's who are all set to make huge sums after this IPO. Every posties depending upon his or her length association with PPP would be given shares in the new listed public company. I won't really mind if they are giving me 500 shares [as I have completed around 5 months with PayPerPost ;) - 100 for each month] and each share is word $25 :D

Anyways, it remains to be seen and I hope we get to hear the big news that everyone is talking about. But then whenever there is some buzz happening at PPP, it take it as some new opportunity to make money. Though there is one thing that I hope PPP help its bloggers with and that is helping them popularize their blogs. More and more opportunities are wanting the blogs to have higher Google page ranks and Alexa scores, thus it becomes important that more and more PPP posties are able to take these opportunities. Anyways I am looking forward to the brand new declaration that is going to be made by PPP people.

Although I don't get a lot of time to read blogs and update mine but I do try to keep myself updated with some good tech blogs that I read. JMH Techtronics is one of those and the reason can be seen in the post about the future of internet searching and Google search. There has been a lot of talk about how the internet is going to evolve and although at this moment there seems to be not control over the organization over the way internet is building over itself, there has to be some authoritative control on the internet body.

Even if there is no such controlling body in the near future, it is very apparent that people looking for search would get a lot of variety to choose from. And as Jim quoted the announcement about Wikipedia, it would be killer market ahead.

New kind and shape of credit card

If you have always thought about having funky looking credit cards it seems that your wish would soon be true. MINT is launching credit cards that have a little different shape that the regular rectangular. In 2003 MINT introduced the Mint credit card. The card was offered as two versions, a standard credit card and the MC2 card which has the bottom right-hand corner removed; this was the first change to the shape of credit cards in the UK for 37 years.

Although it came to me as a surprise as it must have to you but when I looked at it, frankly speaking I found the card cute. Although I don't how would it sit in my wallet if I take one but it would sure make an impression on the cute executive on the billing counter.

At this moment they have got another card that they launched in 2006 which was a MINT Gift card. That card comes with a pre-paid amount debited to it. This form of is card is much better as compared to the gift vouchers because contrary to vouchers, credit cards work nearly everywhere.

Game developing contest for Motorola users

A new contest is now open for the Motorola mobile game developers. Motorola has launched a contest where mobile game developers can develop new games for Windows Mobile-based Moto Q, or Java-based Moto KRZR. The contest is being jointly launched by Motorola and I-Play. Called the MOTODEV Game Developer Challenge, all registered Motorola game developers can take part in the contest. The contest is open till August 10, 2007.

New file management application for Blackberry

Mobile Admin 2.5, a new application for mobile phones launched by Idokorro Mobile Inc. would enable Blackberry users to email files from remote computers. I have been looking at this site and trying to understand what it has to offer. I could not understand much although I consider myself a better than average techie and thus I attribute it to not such a great usability design of the website. The site is about classifieds, blogs, weather forecasts, community websites, online dating and news all in one place. And the way it is dished to a new user is very confusing. I was not able to understand what after all are they offering. And the first place I tried to understand was classified ads. Once i got into classified section, it became much clearer. There are a couple of photo competitions that go on on the website and where you can win some cool cash. There are classified community listings too. Once you browse the website, it gets much easier to understand. I hope that they make the home page a little simple and less intimidating too.

Spice Telecom planning to go public

Spice Telecom, a telecom network carrier in India which at the moment has presence in 2 circles, Karnataka and Punjab is planning to go public. Talking about building muscles in a discussion forum

I was planning to have a look at this site so that I can write about it. I was not expecting what I found on this website. I thought , by the name of it, that it would be related to muscle building and it will have all those articles about muscle building and exercising and it would have all the information about what to eat and what not to eat and it will bicker about what are good and bad practices of gym and exercising. But when I opened the site, I found that it was actually a forum - where can talk about muscle building or gymming in general. The website is muscleforums.com. But what I did not know was that I would be hooked up the moment I went in to a sub forum. There was this thread about gym manners and a person had started the thread complaining about the gym manners of some jerks who are not polite and are not accommodating and waste other people's time by making them wait while working out themselves. I went through all the replies that the person had got and was tempted to create an account then and there and post a reply myself. I too do not like miscreants inside the gym. When exercising you need to concentrate hard and it is not a rosy situation with people throwing their weights, showing attitude and being not polite.

But now talking about the website, I should say that it is an interesting idea, talking to people who gym regularly and what do they have to say. What have been their first hand experiences. you can also talk about host of topics on the forum related to exercising, starting from weight training, lifting schedules, body building, diets, weights and equipments. It initially came as a surprise to me but when I later realized that Microsoft would not be having much say in this, it dawned on me. Tips about new fashion for men

Dressing smart is not something that I usually practice; I believe in cleanliness. As long as my clothes are clean and smell good and fresh, I do not bother much about fashion. Although I try to keep things simple and do not experiment much, but off late I have been thinking about my stance as a bit adamant.

Ethical and paid blogging with PPP

There is something or the other that we all have been listening about blogging these days. Blogging has grown so matured that now it has getting the offshoots developing. And when a thing grown big enough to being a phenomenon, it obviously gets some hard hitting critics, and same has happened with blogging. Paid blogging is just one of the examples. As long as there is money involved, critics would be involved too - even if it is social service.

But I am a PPP fan. I will say that even when I would not be paid for the post anything about them. The truth is that I have made more money working part-time with them than any other thing. And with them it does not take a huge lot to make money blogging. You have to make sure that your blog is good quality and that it is getting hits and good incoming links.
